Vellum started with a simple frustration: most everyday objects are designed to be replaced. We set out to find the opposite — things that earn a permanent place in your home and wardrobe.

We only stock things we'd use ourselves. Every product is chosen for quality over convenience — materials that age well, construction that holds.
Responsibly sourced
We work directly with small workshops and independent makers who share our values around fair wages, safe conditions, and minimal waste.
Honest pricing
No artificial markups, no fake sale prices. We price fairly, explain where the cost comes from, and let the product speak for itself.
Less, better
A smaller, curated range beats an overwhelming catalogue. We'd rather offer 20 excellent things than 200 mediocre ones.
How it started
The shop started as a weekend project — a side-by-side comparison spreadsheet of linen throws, ceramic mugs, and leather wallets, built for personal use. Friends kept asking for the list. Eventually, we turned it into a store.
Every product on Vellum has been tested, used, or at minimum held and examined in person. We write the descriptions ourselves because we want you to know exactly what you're buying before it arrives.
We're a small team. We answer customer emails personally. When something goes wrong (and occasionally it does), we make it right — no lengthy returns process, no back-and-forth.
Sustainability
We're not perfect. We're trying.
Every shipping box is recycled or compostable. We don't use plastic void-fill. When a maker offers an organic or recycled option at comparable quality, we choose it.
